Swansea University

Swansea University was founded in 1920 and is a full constituent member of the University of Wales. All its degrees are conferred by the University of Wales, which exercises quality control over all university education of its members in Wales. Swansea has approximately 11,000 students in total.

Swansea University is in the South Wales City of Swansea, fifty minutes by train from the Capital City of Cardiff. The main site is in Singleton Park, a parkland campus, which faces the sea at Swansea Bay. The Bay connects Swansea to the old fishing village of Mumbles. The Gower Peninsula, with its beautiful cliffs and beaches lies immediately to the west. The coastline and surrounding countryside offer excellent opportunities for leisure and sporting activities.
