It's been in the news recently that UCAS applications from international students are up an average 11% on last year in the UK. This is hardly surprising given the current economic climate as more and more people are going to university rather than risk the potentially wobbly job market. The fastest-growing degree choice is journalism - which has had an increase in applications of 24% which is really quite staggering. Law, economics and science remain popular choices.
