Who is GlobalCampus?

It’s been an exciting few months here at GlobalCampus and we’re well overdue for an update! Since our launch back in May, we have signed up over 14,000 students in 129 countries on our site. These are talented future international students from all over the world, such as China, India, Pakistan and Rwanda, who are hoping to get noticed by universities. Therefore as our online community grows, we grow!

So, we’ve added some new staff recently to help out with the increase in users on our site and upcoming site developments. We have our first country representatives, Nour Hussein from Egypt and Kevin Chege from Rwanda. Nour and Kevin work with students and student groups in their respective countries to raise awareness about opportunities now being offered through GlobalCampus’s online community. As we grow, we will be adding more country representatives to our team.

We’ve also added David Wasa, a computer science intern from France. David is working behind the scenes to improve our search feature so students can find universities easier. As we have users from a variety of cultures and languages, we are working to make the search process as seamless as possible in order to give students direct access to universities.

In response to our growing requests from students to add more universities, we’ve added a University Relations Manager for North America… and that would be me, Nicolle Merrill. I work from Portland, Oregon to help universities use GlobalCampus. Together with Lizzie Fraser, who works with UK and European universities from our London headquarters, we help universities complete their profile, use our recruiting tool, answer student questions on CampusTalk and launch targeted recruiting campaigns to GlobalCampus student users. Are you interested in using our online recruiting tool to scout students globally? If so, contact us and we’ll help you set up a profile.

Soon we’ll be adding our staff bios so users can see our fantastic team. We speak 8 languages between us and represent 5 continents. Many of us are former international students, including AIESIC members. Our cultural variety and language variety make for some hilarious conversations in the office, but more importantly it gives us the perspective to understand and help future international students gain access to universities globally.
